There's Always Time! ~ Daily Log 1/30


I woke up late this morning, but I still forced myself to rush to my morning class. By the time I got home afterwards, I was still half-asleep. I laid down on my bed for a few minutes, savoring the feel of my comfortable bed. I only had 2.5 hours until I had to be at class again... should I nap? Or should I suck it up and go workout?

I'm happy to say that I forced myself to get back up out of bed and work out :) The saying in the above picture was stuck in my head. And not only that, but I feel SO much better! If I had stayed in bed, I would have regretted it all day.  Especially considering I'm probably going to have a couple drinks tonight at the concert.

So my lesson for the day... THERE IS ALWAYS TIME. Normally, I would think 2.5 hours isn't enough because there's about an hour to work out, then you have to shower, dry your hair, put on makeup, eat, etc... But I did it! I'm beginning to teach myself that I don't have to look like a million bucks everywhere I go.   I ended up coming to class with my hair still wet, just simple makeup done.  And no one cares! I'd rather look so-so all day and have done something good for my body, then look like a princess and never achieve my goals.

  • 1 min run, 2 min walk (7x)
    • 6 mph & 4mph, respectively
  • 80 Jumping Jacks
  • 50 Vertical Leg Crunches
  • 20 Sit-ups
  • 15 Tricep Dips
  • 20 Squats
  • 10 Side Lunges (each leg)
  • 15 Wall Push-Ups
  • 40 Russian Twists
Post-Workout
  • Hashbrowns
  • 1 Fried Egg
  • 1/2 Avocado 
  • Sour Cream
Snacks
  • String Cheese
  • Blood Orange
